GRANDPARENTS’ BREAKFAST!

The Olive Chapel PTA would like to invite all grandparents to breakfast with their grandchildren.

If grandparents are unavailable, another special guest may attend the breakfast.

Friday, October 2^nd

Breakfast will be from 8:00AM – 8:40AM in the cafeteria.

The PTA will provide complimentary coffee.

Other breakfast items will be available for purchase in the cafeteria.

3 weeks until Track Out!

~It is amazing how fast the time has gone by.  We have three weeks of school before the quarter ends.  We are going to continue working full steam ahead right up until September 4.  The kids have done an outstanding job transitioning into the 5th grade.

~Writing-we are working on writing a Persuasive Essay

~Math-we just finished up area and perimeter (practice is still needed), please make sure your student is reviewing notes each night in addition to the assigned math pages.

~Reading-CROP-QV project is due August 24

~Science-The kids have finished the Landforms Unit, they really enjoyed the many hands on activities we did throughout the first 4 weeks.

~Social Studies-we are going to continue our study of maps, along with Native Americans and the Colonies.

Hello everyone, please don’t forget to come to school with your smile, yearbook photos will be taken at noon!!

Parents and students please keep the hot weather in mind, in order to cut down on time out of the classroom and going into the building at recess please bring a water bottle to school each day.

Hey kids,

Don’t forget you assignment for Mrs. Geiss is due on Tuesday, July 28.  You also need to study for your spelling test on Monday and be sure to have a silent reading book.  Reading contracts will start next week.
